Path to our Vietnamese Sweeties

Follow us as we find the path to our children who are half way around the world. The road is unknown and undoubtedly full of curves, but God holds the map. He is who we will follow. "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5-6

Typhoon hits

A typhoon hit the city of DaNang on Sunday (our Saturday). DaNang is in central Vietnam, on the coast and is the fourth largest city. Major evacuations did take place prior to the storm. It has been a worrisome weekend, because one of the orphanages is located in DaNang, about a mile inland. We eventually heard that all the babies and children were safely evacuated to a local hospital. Extensive damage was done to the orphanage. The roof was blown off, screens in the window ripped out, pots holding all the plants in the garden were shattered, TV ripped from the wall, and the doors blown off the hinges. We can all praise the Lord that those children were not there.

Thank God that the babies and children were taken some place safe. That must have been very stressful.
